Angela Gulnik
My name is Angela, and I'm a certified Gestalt therapist. I help in times of fear, pain, and uncertainty. There may be order on the outside, but inside, darkness and fear are hard to bear. With me, you don't have to pretend: be silent, angry, cry, or be in chaos. I create a space where your pain won't destroy you or me. Together, we'll build a true foundation from the most difficult moments, one that will sustain your life.
My main areas of expertise:
Crisis counseling • Sexual issues therapy • Traumatic experiences • Career and burnout • Eating disorders • Existential issues • Working with teenagers and their parents • Family and couples counseling
Below, learn more about what I work with and what it looks like.
Difficult times and crises
You're experiencing loss (of a loved one, a relationship, the meaning of life, a job) and don't know how to move on. The world has collapsed, and the old pillars no longer hold you up. I'll help you process your grief without devaluing it and find your footing to take the next step.
When career and responsibility are stifling
Burnout, the weight of decisions, loneliness at the top, the conflict between money and meaning. I know this world from the inside (thanks to my education in human resources management) and will help you regain your energy and enjoyment without losing yourself.
Traumatic experiences and past "stones in your bosom"
Resentment against parents who won't let go. Past emotional or physical abuse that still affects relationships. Coldness or overprotection in childhood. We will carefully dismantle this burden, layer by layer, so that the past finally stops controlling your present. (I also use the AF-EMDR method for processing traumatic memories.)
Tangled relationships with food and the body
I know what it's like to go in a vicious cycle: diet - breakdown - self-hatred. Overeating as a way to drown out anxiety or emptiness. I'll help you hear what your body is really telling you and, step by step, build a peaceful, rather than warring, relationship with it.
Sexual difficulties and tension in intimacy
Lack of desire or, conversely, something that frightens you with its intensity. Pain, shame, a lack of understanding of your boundaries and preferences. Sex as a duty or "not my thing." I work with this topic based on my specialization in sexology and the Gestalt approach—gently, without judgment or stereotypes.
Lostness and the search for support in life
"I have everything, but I'm not happy." A sense of meaninglessness, existential anxiety, fear of aging and death. Intense loneliness even among people. Together, we will search for the support that will endure—not from outside, but from within. And learn to live when there are no ready-made answers.
Teenagers and Parents
Rebellion, isolation, risky behavior, or, conversely, a complete lack of desire. Parents don't understand what to do, and the teenager feels alone. I help both teenagers and parents listen to each other, cope with separation without destroying relationships, and find new ways to be together.
I believe that everyone has the resources for positive change, and my job is to help activate them.
What will change as a result of our work:
You will begin to listen to yourself: your true desires and needs, not just the way things should be.
You will gain inner support: you will know that you can endure even the most unstable situation.
You will see how habitual patterns govern your choices and be able to weaken their power over you.
You will reclaim your right to be "good enough," without chasing perfection and fearing exposure (imposter syndrome).
You will be able to make difficult decisions without debilitating self-sabotage and inner critic.
In my work, I draw on:
Gestalt therapy (as my primary approach), CBT, art therapy, metaphorical associative maps (MAM), elements of psychodrama, NLP, and EMDR (including AF-EMDR for processing traumatic experiences).
My path is one of constant growth, personal therapy, and supervision. This is my fundamental position: to lead clients where I have been and know the way.
