💔 It seemed to her that her whole life had collapsed.
My husband became distant. He wasn't involved in the family's life. He cheated on me.
She lived in constant anxiety, pain and expectation that one day he would change.
But gradually we began to realize that the problem was much deeper.
Behind this story was a little girl who, since childhood, had become accustomed to forgetting about herself:
- difficult experiences;
- lack of emotional support;
- fear of being alone;
- feeling that love must be earned.
Gradually, her whole life began to revolve around relationships.
And while she was trying to save her family, she lost touch with herself.
What happened in therapy
🌿 In therapy, we couldn’t get my husband to change.
But we were able to do something much more important.
We helped her feel supported within herself again.
She began to notice joy outside of the relationship.
Returned to my interests.
I started taking more care of myself.
Her emotional state became much more stable.
Sometimes the most important discovery in therapy sounds like this:
"My life doesn't end where my relationship ends." 🤍
